CHASE TUCKER, Founder & Head Coach

A great deal of my life has been spent hiking, skiing, climbing and generally having a good time in nature all over the world. Since 2012 I've trained people just like you, to climb mountains, trek the world’s most famous walks and experience the great things Mother Nature has to offer.

As a specialist strength and conditioning coach nothing means more to me than getting you great results, which means injury free, successful summits, big smiles on top of difficult passes and high mountains, increased energy levels and improved life quality.

The same training program that I have been delivering to my face-to-face clients has now been developed into the programs you see on Big Mountain Training. No matter where you are in the world, you can now access a tried, tested and proven training program to physically prepare you for your trek.

My belief is that the mountains really have the ability to change your life.

- Chase

Chase is the Co-Founder of Big Mountain Training and Founder of Base Camp Adventure Fitness. He has written for Wild Magazine, been seen on Channel 9 and speaks at World Expedition Information Nights in Brisbane, Australia.

In April, Chase was a member of the Australian Ama Dablam Expedition 2015 and will return to Nepal in October 2015.

Qualifications:
Qualified Personal Trainer with Certificate III & IV in Fitness
Qualified Altitude Trainer from Altitude Training Systems.
Qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach with ASCA.
Over a decade of experience in the mountains; rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking.
3+ years experience in functional training systems such as Kettlebells, suspension training and Olympic lifting.

MEGAN GREENTREE, Founder & Trek Guru

My introduction to the world of mountains started with a split second decision to set myself a goal so big that I would be forced to face every fear, doubt and barrier that was keeping me in the confines of that famous ‘comfort zone’. My decision to commit to something far bigger than me,  set off a series of life-changing moments.

No one journey is ever the same yet the path to get there starts well before you set foot in the mountains.

As your trek guru I’m here to make sure that your time with us sets you up for an experience of a lifetime. Along with the Base Camp Community I’ll be answering your questions, sharing practical tips and keeping you motivated and accountable to your goals.

Megan has climbed Mera Peak (Nepal), Mt Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Tsasst Uul & Turgen Mountain (Western Mongolia) and trekked throughout Mongolia and in Western Uganda. She has experienced severe altitude sickness and is living proof that educating yourself about altitude is an important aspect of preparing for the mountains. Training remotely, Megan has her eyes set on Aconcagua, South America.

THE BASE CAMP

The Base Camp is our private page for members where you’ll not only meet people from all around the world but those who train with us at Base Camp Adventure Fitness, our home in Brisbane, Australia. The Base Camp Team is headed up by Tori Hadley (Head Coach), Luke Sparrow (Coach) and Bronny Thompson (Trek Guru). With a wealth of experience in Adventure sports, trekking, mountaineering, climbing, nutrition and mindset they’ll share this knowledge to help you reach your goals.You can find out more about Base Camp and the team here.

Our Mountain Mastery Course and Mt Barney Adventure Weekend (Finishing School) are held in South East Queensland, Australia and are great opportunities to meet the team in person.
